• Care: May have a higher success rate when planting in Spring as opposed to Fall with this one since it doesn't particularly like cold, wet Winter months. If planting in a wetter area or soil that retains water (clay) plant this shrub a bit higher. Regular watering in the first growing season helps to establish a strong root system. Be careful not to over water! Deheading is not necessary on this Butterfly Bush. Yearly pruning is helpful to keep blooms at eye level or below. May die back to the ground in cold climates, but rest assured, it will come back beautifully in the Late Spring.
